Dear UNT supporter,

After 10 incredibly rewarding years of service to you and the UNT community, I write to inform you that I will be stepping down from the UNT presidency on Aug. 1, 2024.

It has been a delight getting to know so many of you at alumni events, games, and through your involvement in our university. Your support of UNT has made an incredible difference. I especially appreciate how you have supported our students. Your caring nature and the warmth, encouragement, and mentorship you have given our students is at the heart of this institution and defines our community.

With 12,000 graduates a year, our alumni ranks continue to grow, and your involvement with each other and current students is more important than ever. I know you will continue to support UNT and our mission to change lives and drive prosperity in Texas and beyond. Your success becomes our success as our national recognition grows along with our reputation for high caliber academics, impactful and innovative research, and successful alumni who make a difference.
